Congratulations, you basically did with your filter what happens inside a Rainbow vacuum and the Newcombe bagless before it. In these machines there is a spinning slotted cylinder called a centrifugal separator and in combination with a water bath, the separator keeps the majority of wet dust and dirt from entering the motor and going out the exhaust.

The painting is AMAZING, and the frame is perfect for it, too. Great job on all counts!

Beards and air tight seals just dont get along. Unless you want to wear a fully enclosed breather, either shave, put Vaseline or it is what it is.

4 year old video, so not sure if you’ll see this comment; But at 4:15 you mentioned you’d be using that hammer assembly for an art piece. I’m about to disassemble a 1940s-era Story & Clark spinet that’s no longer tunable and would love to find a way to preserve and display elements of the piano. (It was my mom’s as a child, and the one I learned on between the ages of 6 and 18, so it has sentimental value. I just don’t want to move it anymore. )

That's good advice for those who need to clean the filter and although it's not cheap, I have continually used bags for my vac. I don't have to remove and clean my filter and I don't have to worry about any dust because everything is contained in the bag. Alot less time involved changing bags compared to cleaning the filter

You forgot the other aspect of having a piano - you can't put headphones on and practise while other people enjoy the silence. I was never a person who could play a piece from the sheet music three or four times, and know it - it took me a lot of practise to learn a piece - and that's pretty boring to other people. That's why I gave up piano - because of comments from my sister.

Andrew, I am 61 with extensive osteoarthritis in my back. I have a lot of plants in large pots and 2-3 times a year we get freezes in Houston and I have to bring the pots inside. Is there any good wheels to install on a surface and put under the pots to make moving them easier? It has to be easy to slide the pot on to it. Next is how to get rid of squirrels who eat all the fruit of my potted trees leaving absolutely nothing left for me. Thank you!

Thank you for the video, just finished dismantling my upright piano wich seems bigger and heavier than yours, took me all day, especially the tunning rods, what a pain, and I did it by hand with the tunning wrench... my hands are full of blisters scratches, what a day lol. I'm going to transform what I can from into my new desk. P.s Where is the scuplture video? or did you abandon the project, couldn't find it. Cheers!

I get it. I have been unable to get rid of the Viola my parents purchased for me decades ago, though I haven't played it in decades. It's in storage and whenever I open the case I remove the bow and tighten it, open the rosin compartment which still smells of pine and holds the hard, amber colored, grooved block of rosin and will touch the chinrest and finger board. I still recall taking the orchestra bus to Kerr Junior High for music orchestra lessons in the mornings before attending school and during the summers. I think of the various conductors, performances, competitions, friends, cliques and culture I experienced as a member of a youth orchestra. As I grew my parents rented Violas for me to use, but this one I own along with a plethora of memories.
